Large Capacity Grain Silo Installation Stages | Rosilo

The installation of a large-capacity grain silo is a complex process carried out over several weeks. Industrial silos require a phased approach, continuous checks and strict safety procedures. Below are the real installation stages as executed on site by professional teams.

1. Site organization and safety

The first stage involves site organization: defining work zones, ensuring crane access and planning material flow. At the same time, mandatory safety procedures are implemented.

  • mandatory personal protective equipment
  • working-at-height procedures
  • continuous crane-team coordination

2. Foundation inspection

The foundation is the critical structural element of the silo. Flatness, final dimensions and anchor bolt positions are verified before installation begins.

3. First ring assembly

The first ring defines the entire silo geometry: vertical alignment, circularity and load distribution. Laser tools and repeated measurements are used. This stage is never rushed.

4. Roof assembly at ground level

After the first ring is completed, the silo roof is assembled at ground level. This method significantly reduces working-at-height risks and improves installation quality.

5. Progressive silo lifting

Once the roof is assembled, the silo is lifted progressively using hydraulic lifting systems or cranes. In each lifting cycle, a new ring is added and alignments are checked.

6. Accessories and system installation

After reaching the final height, accessories are installed: safety ladders and platforms, ventilation and aeration systems, temperature monitoring sensors and discharge equipment.

7. Final inspection and handover

Before handover, all connections and final vertical alignment are verified. The silo is delivered only after meeting all technical and safety requirements.
