Hopper silos for efficient storage and fast unloading

We successfully completed a grain silo project in North Macedonia consisting of 4 hopper-bottom cells, each with a conical base designed for efficient gravity unloading. The project was developed to meet the logistical needs of a regional grain operator looking for a reliable and flexible storage and handling solution.

Specialized mechanical assembly for conical structures

The project involved the complete mechanical assembly of 4 hopper silos, each made of galvanized steel and equipped with ladders, platforms, and passive ventilation systems. The conical bottom was specifically designed for loss-free discharge, directly connected to an automatic unloading system for trucks or downstream processing equipment.

All installation work was carried out according to EU safety and durability standards. Anchor systems were custom-adapted to match the specific soil conditions of the area.

Challenges and technical adjustments

One of the main challenges was the limited installation space, which required a compact yet highly efficient layout for the 4 hopper silos. Our technical team proposed a reinforced common foundation and an optimized layout for loading and unloading operations, helping reduce both operating time and internal logistics costs.

Client profile

The client is a regional distributor of grains and feed products operating in the southeast of North Macedonia. They needed a modern storage system with rapid access, capable of handling both bulk grains and frequent deliveries of mixed products. The implemented solution now allows better stock control and significantly improved logistics flow.
